Ms Lucy Hutchinson, MRPharmS, ClinDip Secondary Care, Non-Medical Prescriber, BPNG member.
I am the Lead Nutrition Pharmacist for adults at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston and have been caring for intestinal failure patients here for most of the last 16yrs. I encountered clinical nutrition and intestinal failure through the manufacture of parenteral nutrition during my first rotation as a junior pharmacist in the aseptic unit, and it has fascinated and occupied me ever since. My experience has been both in the production and manufacture of PN, and the clinical care of intestinal failure patients. I am an honorary lecturer at the University of Bath, I provide teaching on the South-West Trainee Pharmacist programme, and have spoken at a BDA national event.
