Paula Brayford is an Advance Nurse Practitioner in Gastroenterology and has been a nurse/clinical endoscopist for over 20 years. She works at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust in Shropshire and is a senior member of their large clinical endoscopist team. As well as upper and lower endoscopy (including TNE and PEG insertions) her role also involves Cytosponge, service development and training. She is a Faculty member for JAG accredited basic skills courses at Shrewsbury and across the West Midlands. She has recently been elected to join the BSG Oesophageal Committee and the BSG Nurses Association. She has a particular interest in Barrett's surveillance and enhancing the patient experience.
